Is it safe for my child to give out a picture?

Adults who want to exploit children might be using chatroomsChat room:
a place on the Internet that you can access through a computer or certain mobile phones. People from all over the world can communicate by typing messages to one another, and inside a chat room everyone can see what is being typed by everyone else.
to persuade them to meet in the real world. That is why the first rule of chat rooms is that children should NEVER reveal any personal details that would allow someone to contact them. This includes their name, address, telephone number, email address and mobile number, but also information which may seem harmless, such as their favourite pizza restaurant, or where a school hockey or football match is being played. A picture message could reveal a child's whereabouts, and these can also be sent from mobile phones with digital cameras.
